Abstract
U ovom radu opisan je problem infekcija uzrokovanih bakterijom Listeria monocytogenes. U radu su navedeni opisi epidemije koja je pogodila EU od 2015. godine, prema navodima Europske agencije za sigurnost hrane (EFSA). Oboljenja od listerioze su najčešća kod osoba sa slabim imunitetom, osoba starije dobi (više od 65 godina), trudnica i novorođenčadi. Infekcija se teško liječi i ima visok stupanj mortaliteta. Bakterija je vrlo rasprostranjena u cijelom ekosustavu. Najbolja prevencija je higijena prema kojoj se prehrambeni prozvod priprema te pravilno rukovanje prehrambenim proizvodima od izbora do pripreme, skladištenja i konzumacije iste.
Abstract (english)
This document describes problems caused by bacteria Listeria monocitogenes. It contains descriptions of epidemic which affected territory of the EU since the year 2015 described by European Food Safety authority (EFSA). Listeriosis infections are most common in people with weak immunity system, older persons (over 65 years of age), pregnant women and new-borns. Infection is difficult to cure and has a high mortality rate. The bacteria is very widespread throughout the ecosystem. The best prevention is the hygiene in which food product has been prepared, also properly handling of food products from the choice of preparation and storage, until the consumption.
