Abstract
Cilj rada bio je istraživanje i opisivanje morfoloških obilježja i insekticidnih svojstava koje posjeduje dalmatinski buhač (Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium (Trevir.) Vis.), te uvjeti potrebni za uzgoj dalmatinskog buhača. Dalmatinski buhač je ekonomski važna biljka koje je u našem području često zanemarena iako je u prošlosti bila bitna u hrvatskoj poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji. Glavni razlog uzgoja dalmatinskog buhača je proizvodnja piretrina koji su sekundarni metaboliti biljke. Piretrin je kontaktni insekticid širokog spektra djelovanja, te se koristi u raznim područjima ljudske djelatnosti, primjerice zaštita usjeva, skladišnih proizvoda, u javnoj higijeni i zdravstvu i u kontroli štetnika na životinjama. Piretrin posjeduje mnoga pozitivna svojstva, ali i nekoliko negativnih gledano s aspekta učinkovitosti i sigurnosti. Pozitivna svojstva su niska toksičnost prema toplokrvnim životinjama i vrlo brzo i učinkovito suzbijanje štetnih kukaca, brza razgradnja i neperzistentnost u okolišu, te kratko vrijeme karence. Negativno svojstvo je neselektivno djelovanje prema korisnim kukcima i upravo ona brza razgradnja koja onemogućuje dugotrajnu i u potpunosti učinkovitu zaštitu. Također je u radu opisan i način djelovanja piretrina u živim organizmima, njegovo toksikološko djelovanje, te uporaba i neke druge stavke koje se odnose na buhač.
Abstract (english)
Objective of thesis was research and depiction of morphological characteristics and insecticidal properties which dalmatian pyrethrum (Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium (Trevir.) Vis.) posseses and conditions required for cultivation of dalmatian pyrethrum. Dalmatian pyrethrum is economically impotrant plant which is in our area often neglected although it was important in the past of croatian agricultural production. Main reason for cultivation of dalmatian pyrethrum is pyrethrin production which is secondary metabolite of plant. Pyrethrin is contact insecticide with wide spectrum of action, and it is used in diverse domain of human activity, for example protection of crop, storage produce, public hygiene and public health and control of pests on animals. Pyrethrin possesses many positive properties, but also few negative observed from aspect of effectiveness and safeness. Positive properties are low toxicity to warm-blooded animals and rapid and effective kill of adverse insects, rapid degradation and nonpersistance in environment, and short waiting period. Negative property is nonselective activity toward usefull insects and rapid degradation which prevents long lasting and completly effective protection. Also in the paper is described mode of action of pyrethrin in living organisms, his toxicological impact, use and some other items related to pyrethrum.
