Abstract
Cilj istraživanja bio je utvrditi alelopatski utjecaj lista carske paulovnije (Paulownia tomentosa (Thumb.) Steud.) na klijavost sjemena i rast klijanaca salate. Provedena su dva pokusa: utjecaj različitih koncentracija vodenih ekstrakata carske paulovnije u Petrijevim zdjelicama, te utjecaj različitih doza biljnih ostataka carske paulovnije u posudama s tlom. Istražen je utjecaj na klijavost/nicanje salate, duljinu izdanaka i korijena, te svježu i suhu masu klijanaca. Rezultati su pokazali da vodeni ekstrakti i biljni ostaci carske paulovnije imaju određeni pozitivni i negativni alelopatski utjecaj. Pokusi s vodenim ekstraktima zabilježili su uglavnom negativan utjecaj u gotovo svim tretmanima posebice pri povećanju koncentracije. Potpuno inhibitorno djelovanje (100%) zabilježeno je u tretmanima s najvišom koncentracijom ekstrakta od 10 % na sve parametre istraživanja. Biljni ostaci carske paulovnije pokazali su različit utjecaj na nicanje i rast klijanaca zelene salate. Niža doza statistički je značajno djelovala samo na duljinu korijena i izdanka, i to pozitivno odnosno negativno. Viša doza od 20 g/kg statistički je značajno negativno djelovala na sve istraživane parametre.
Abstract (english)
The aim of the research was to determine the allelopathic effect of princess tree (Paulownia tomentosa (Thumb.) Steud.) leaves on germination and growth of lettuce. Two experiments were conducted: the effect of different concentrations of princess tree water extracts in Petri dishes, as well as the effect of different rates princess tree residues in pots with soil. Germination/emergence, root and shoot length as well as fresh and dry weight of seedlings were measured. The research results showed that both water extracts and residues of princess tree had certain positive and negative effect. Mostly negative effect of water extracts was recorded in all treatments, especially with higher extract concentrations. Total inhibition (100%) of all studied parameters was observed in treatments with the highest extract concentration of 10%. Princess tree plant residues showed a different effect on the emergence and growth of lettuce seedlings. The lower rate had a statistically significant effect only on root and shoot length, positive and negative, respectively. A higher rate of 20 g / kg had a statistically significant negative effect on all investigated parameters.
