Abstract
Uloga medonosne pčele u hortikulturi je velika. Smatram da pčele imaju jednu od najvažnijih uloga u eko sustavu. Osim što proizvodi hranu i lijekove za čovjeka (med, pelud, propolis, matičnu mliječ), jedna od najvažnijih stvari je oprašivanje biljaka. Svi dobro znamo da bez oprašivanja biljaka ne bi bilo ni njezinih plodova, pa tako ni hrane za nas i životinjski svijet. Na Zemlji 80% cvjetnih vrsta oprašuju kukci, među njima glavninu čine pčele. Smatram da je korist koju imamo od pčela zbog oplodnje bilja mnogo veća od one koju one donose neposredno, osobito proizvodnja meda. Treba obratiti pažnju na smanjenje broja prirodnih oprašivača u agro – eko sustavu, potrebno je intenzivnije početi s primjenom ekoloških načela u poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji, te ne zaboraviti da je medonosna pčela najvažniji oprašivač u agro – eko sustavu.
Abstract (english)
The role of honeybees in horticulture is big. I think that bees have one of the most important roles in the eco system. In addition to producing food and medicines for humans (honey, pollen, propolis, royal jelly), one of the most important things is the pollination of plants. We all know that without the pollination of plants there would not be the fruit, meaning no food for us and the animals. On Earth, 80% of flower species are pollinated by insects, among them the majority are bees. I think the benefit that we have from the bees for fertilization of plants is much higher than what they bring directly, particularly the production of honey. Attention should be given to reducing the number of natural pollinators in agro - ecosystems, it is necessary to begin with a more intensive application of ecological principles to agricultural production, and to not forget that the honeybee is the most important pollinator in agro - ecological system.
