Abstract
Medonosna pčela (Apis mellifera) je uobičajena oprašivačka radna snaga poljoprivrednih kultura u svijetu. Neki ekonomisti procjenjuju kako je vrijednost oprašivanja od pčela viša od 100 milijardi eura godišnje u svijetu. Od 2006 godine svake godine bilježe se veliki gubici zajednica. Tajanstveni krivac je CCD (colony collapse disorder) i pretvorio se u redovitu godišnju pošast i zagonetku. Mnogi znanstvenici kao i javnost optužili su pretjeranu primjenu kemikalija na poljoprivrednim zemljištima. Uz lošu prehranu i izloženost kemikalijama pčelinji imunitet opada i dolazi do povoljnih uvjeta za razvoj virusa i bakterija. Najznačajnije bolesti pčela na listi Svjetske organizacija za zdravlje životinja su Američka i Europska gnjiloća, etinioza, varooza i tropileloza. U svijetu one najviše uništavaju populaciju medonosnih pčela, spriječiti ih možemo dobrom pčelarskom praksom i profilatičkim mjerama. Što se tiče pesticida tu se teško može nešto učiniti jer se oni koriste masovno u poljoprivredi i šumarstvu. Za pčelinju zajednicu su najopasniji insekticidi. Najveće štete se dogode ako otrovana pčela otrovanu hranu odnese u košnicu otruje leglo i ostale pčele. Nadamo se da ćemo mi biti jednog dana svjedoci da pčele više neće biti na listi životinja koje će izumrijeti.
Abstract (english)
Honey bee (Apis mellifera) is a common pollinator of agricultural crops in the world. Some economists estimate that the value of pollination by honey bee is higher than 100 billion euros annually in the world. Since 2006, every year, there has been a great loss of colonies recorded. The main couse is CCD (colony collapse disorder) and it turned into a regular annual problem. Many scientists and the public have accused the excessive use of chemicals on agricultural land. With poor nutrition and chemical exposure, bee immunity decreases and favorable conditions for the development of viruses and bacteria diseases occur. The most significant bee diseases on the World Organization for Animal Health list are American and European fouldbrood, Ethinosis, Varoosis and Tropilelosis. In the world, they mostly destroy the population of honey bees, and to prevent them it is necessary to have good beekeeping practices and prophylactic measures. As far as pesticides are concerned, it is difficult to do something because they are used massively in agriculture and forestry. For the bee colony, the most dangerous are insecticides. The biggest damage occurs if the poisoned bee's poisonous food takes the litter and other bees to the beehive. We hope that one day we will witness that the bees will no longer be on the list of animals that will be extinct.
