Abstract
Funkcionalna hrana su prehrambeni proizvodi koji sadrže sastojke s povoljnim učinkom na zdravlje ili koji smanjuju rizik za nastanak kroničnih bolesti. Znanstveno je dokazano da zdrava i raznovrsna prehrana ima velik utjecaj na prevenciju i liječenje bolesti. Funkcionalna hrana biljnog podrijetla sadrži vitamine i minerale koji povrće čine nezamjenjivim. Unatoč svim dobrobitima funkcionalne hrane, raznovrsna prehrana je najvažnija za dobar učinak na zdravlje i smanjenje rizika za nastanak bolesti.
Abstract (english)
Functional food are food products that contain ingridients that improve health or reduce chronic disease risk. It is scientifically proved that healthy and varied diet have huge impact in prevetion and treatment of disease. Functional food of plant origin contains vitamins and minerals that makes vegetables irreplaceable. Despite all benefits that functional food gives, diversified diet is the most important strategy to maximize health and reduce disease risk.
