Abstract
Gljive roda Trichoderma zbog svojih antifungalnih osobina posljednjih godina sve više se koriste kao zamjena za kemijska sredstva koja degradiraju i ekološki onečiščuju tlo. Trichoderma sp. svojom prisutnošću brane biljku od patogenih mikroorganizama, pospješuju usvajanje hranjiva što povoljno utječe na njezin rast i razvoj, a ujedno ne djeluju štetno na ekosustav odnosno čovjeka i okoliš. Trichoderma sp. posjeduju različite biotske mehanizme uz pomoću kojih usporavaju razvoj patogenih mikroorganizama. Cilj ovog rada bio je istražiti i utvrditi učinkovitost Trichoderma sp. u inhibiciji rasta različitih sojeva Fusarium graminearum i Fusarium verticillioides. Rezultati su pokazali kako navedeni soj inhibira micelijski rast navedenih Fusarium vrsta za 16-40% međutim nedovoljno kako bi se dokazala statistički opravdana značajnost. Daljnja istraživanja trebaju ići u smjeru reizolacije novih autohtonih sojeva roda Trichoderma koji bi imali djelotvorniji antifungalni učinak.
Abstract (english)
Over the past few years, due to their antifungal characteristics, the Fungi of the genus Trichoderma have increasingly been used as a substitute for chemicals that have degraded and ecologically polluted soils. Through their presence Trichoderma sp. protect the plant from pathogenic microorganisms, improve the absorption of nutrients, which favourably affects its growth and development, and at the same time does not do any harm to the ecosystem, i.e., to the mankind and the environment. Trichoderma sp. possesses various biotic mechanisms by the help of which it slows down the development of pathogenic microorganisms. The aim of this study was to investigate and determine the efficacy of Trichoderma sp. in inhibiting the growth of different strains of Fusarium graminearum and Fusarium verticillioides. The results showed that the named strain inhibited the mycelial growth of the named Fusarium species by 16-40%. However, that was insufficient to justify the statistical significance. Further research should follow the path of re-isolation of new indigenous strains of the genus Trichoderma that would have a more antifungal effect.
