Abstract
Agroterorizam je poseban oblik bioterorizma i smatra se oblikom koji ima vrlo malu izglednost, no izuzetno veliki učinak. Uključuje namjerno korištenje virusa, bakterija, gljivica ili toksina živih organizama, u svrhu izazivanja smrti ili oboljenja životinja ili biljaka. Kao oružje agroterorizma spominje se i mogućnost kontroliranog utjecaja na klimatske promjene, odnosno na atmosferske prilike koje su posebno značajne u pojedinim fazama razvoja biljnih kultura kao što su: klijanje, cvjetanje, zrenje i druge faze. U ovom radu opisan je agroterorizam, njegova povijest, potencijalni agensi te mjere sprječavanja i obrana u slučaju napada. Za prikupljanje informacija korištena je relevantna literatura, članci i internetski podaci, a korištene metode su deskripcije, sinteze, dedukcije i analize. Za uspješnu borbu protiv agroterorizma važno je ispravna procjena rizika i definiranje kritičnih infrastruktura za što su zadužene nadležne institucije koje su odgovorne za borbu i sprječavanje takvih napada.
Abstract (english)
Agroterrorism is a form of bioterrorism and is considered to be a form of very low probability but an extremely high effect. It involves intentional use of viruses, bacteria, fungi or toxins of living organisms, for the purpose of causing death or disease of animals or plants. The possibility of a controlled impact on climate change is also mentioned as a possible weapon for agroterrorism, as in controlling atmospheric conditions that are especially important in certain phases of crop development, such as: germination, flowering, ripening and other phases. This paper describes agroterrorism, its history, potential agents, prevention and defense measures in the event of an agroterroristic attack. Relevant literature, articles and internet data were used as sources of information and the methods used are descriptions, syntheses, deductions and analyzes. For a successful fight against agro-terrorism, it is important to properly assess the risk and define critical infrastructures, which are the responsibility of the competent institutions responsible for combating and preventing such attacks.
