Abstract
Šećerna repa je kultura koja u prvoj godini daje zadebljali korijen i list, a u drugoj stablo, cvijet i plod. Razlog proizvodnje ove biljke je zadebljali korijen iz kojeg proizvodimo bijeli konzumni šećer. U usjevu šećerne repe važno je poznavati korovnu floru kako bi se odabrao najpogodniji način suzbijanja korova. Primjena herbicida ne rješava problem, već je potrebno kombinirati mjere suzbijanja. Borba protiv korova provodi se administrativno, agrotehnički, mehanički, kemijski i biološki. Neke vrste korova češće se javljaju u usjevima šećerne repe npr. ambrozija, sirak i koštan i ostali. Šećerna repa je naša najvažnija poljoprivredno - industrijska kultura. Postići visoku kvalitetu i zadovoljavajući prinos šećerne repe nije ni malo jednostavno. Iskustvo je pokazalo da su proizvođači koji uspješno svladaju zahtjeve proizvodnje šećerne repe, spremni s lakoćom proizvoditi bilo koju drugu ratarsku kulturu.
Abstract (english)
Sugar beet is a plant which gives root and a leaf in the first year and in the second year a tree, flower and fruit. A reason of production this plant is her root, from which we produce white sugar. In the sugar beet crop, it is important to know the weed flora in order to choose the most suitable way to control weeds. The application of herbicides does not solve the problem, but it is necessary to combine control measures. Weed control is carried out administratively, agrotechnically, mechanically, chemically and biologically. Some types of weeds are more common in sugar beet crops such as ragweed, sorghum and bone and others. Sugar beet is our most important agricultural - industrial crop. Achieving high quality and satisfactory yield of sugar beet is not easy at all. Experience has shown that growers who successfully master the requirements of sugar beet production are ready to easily produce any other field crop
