Abstract
Geneza tla je složen i dugotrajan proces koji se odvija djelovanjem klime, vegetacije i organizama (flore, faune i čovjeka) na zemljinu kamenu površinu (litosferu). Tijekom niza geoloških razdoblja klima na Zemlji je prošla niz izmjena koje su omogućile razvoj i širenje različitih oblika biljnog i životinjskog svijeta. Istraživanjem geoloških naslaga znanstvenici su došli do spoznaja o klimatskim promjenama u prošlosti. U pojedinim razdobljima su bile toliko intenzivne da su dovele do izumiranja niza biljnih i životinjskih vrsta. Stoga je za pretpostaviti da bi klimatske promjene u budućnosti mogle dovesti do gubitka velikog broja biljnih vrsta uslijed ubrzanja degradacijskih procesa. Posljedice će se vidjeti u smanjenoj plodnosti poljoprivrednih zemljišta, nižim prinosima i slabijoj kvaliteti poljoprivrednih proizvoda.
Abstract (english)
Soil genesis is a complex and long-lasting process that takes place by the action of climate, vegetation and organisms (flora, fauna and man) on the earth's rock surface (lithosphere). Over a number of geological periods, the Earth's climate has undergone a number of changes that have enabled the development and spread of various forms of flora and fauna. By researching geological deposits, scientists have come to know about climate change in the past. In some periods they were so intense that they led to the extinction of a number of plant and animal species. It is therefore to be assumed that climate change in the future could lead to the loss of a large number of plant species due to the acceleration of degradation processes. The consequences will be seen in reduced fertility of agricultural land, lower yields and poorer quality of agricultural products.
