Abstract
Stočarstvo i proizvodnja hrane životinjskog podrijetla neophodan je za ljudsku prehranu. Sa sve većim porastom ljudske populacije postavljaju se sve veći poljoprivredni izazovi u proizvodnji dovoljne količine zdrave, sigurne i proteinima bogate hrane. Dobrobit životinja na farmama direktno utječe na kvalitetu života grla a samim tim i na kvalitetu konačnog proizvoda. Na razvoj dobrobiti osim što su utjecali bolji proizvodni rezultati i zdravlje životinja, uvelike je utjecalo i mišljenje potrošača kojima je sve bitnije porijeklo proizvoda kojeg jedu i u kakvom su se stanju nalazile životinje tijekom procesa proizvodnje. Gledajući na sve to, razvijen je sustav procjene dobrobiti životinja u farmskom uzgoju, koji procjenjuje četiri osnovne razine dobrobiti u pogledu: hranidbe, smještaja, zdralja i prikladnog ponašanja. Na osnovu tih principa nastaje grananje različitih mjera koje prilikom procjene ocjenjivaču pomažu za što pravilnije i bolje prepoznavanje stanja u kojima se životinje nalaze. U ovom radu tako možemo naći opisane načine ocjenjivanja postoječih mjera za procjenu dobrobiti goveda u tovu i goveda za proizvodnju mlijeka.
Abstract (english)
Livestock breeding and animal food production is necessary for human nutrition. With the ever-increasing growth of the human population, there are increasing agricultural challenges in the production of a sufficient amount of healthy, safe and protein-rich food. The animal welfare on farms directly affects the quality of life of the animals and, therefore, the quality of the final product. In addition to better production results and animal health, the development of animal welfare was also greatly influenced by the opinion of consumers, who increasingly care about the origin of the product they eat and what condition the animals were in during the production process. Looking at all this, a system for assessing the welfare of animals in farm breeding was developed, which assesses four basic levels of welfare in terms of: feeding, housing, food and appropriate behavior. Based on these principles, there is a branching of different measures that, during the assessment, help the evaluator to correctly and better identify the conditions in which the animals are. In this paper, we can find described ways of evaluating the existing measures for assessing the animal welfare of beef and dairy cattle.
