Abstract
Duhan se uzgaja u različitim agroekološkim uvjetima u kojima može biti zadovoljena potreba duhana za srednjom dnevnom temperaturom zraka, tlom te količini oborina. Optimalna srednja dnevna temperatura u uzgoju duhana je od 20 do 30 oC. Duhan preferira lagana pjeskovita tla, pH reakcije od 5 do 6,5. Potrebna količina vode je u rasponu od 400 do 600 mm. Veća potreba duhana za vodom je u fazi početnog porasta, odnosno nakon presađivanja, a najveće potrebe za vodom su 50 do 70 dana nakon presađivanja te nakon te faze potrebe za vodom su manje. Potrebna voda za navodnjavanje će ovisiti o količini pristupačne vode, oborina, zalihe vode u tlu te metodi navodnjavanja. Važno je istaknuti kako će prinos i kvaliteta duhana biti umanjena jednako u sušnim kao i u uvjetima prekomjerne vlažnosti što će ponajviše ovisiti o fazi razvoja. Kod navodnjavana duhana su najčešće primjenjivane metode površinskog navodnjavanja, odnosno kišenja pri čemu je od osobite važnosti kvaliteta vode za navodnjavanje, odnosno sadržaj Cliona.
Abstract (english)
Tobacco is grown in various agroecological conditions in which the need of tobacco for the average daily air temperature, soil and precipitation can be met. The optimal average daily temperature in tobacco growing is from 20 to 30 oC. Tobacco prefers light sandy soils, with pH from 5 to 6.5. The required amount of water is in the range of 400 to 600 mm. The higher need of tobacco for water is in the phase of initial growth, i.e. after transplanting, and the greatest needs for water are 50 to 70 days after transplanting, and after that phase the need for water is lower. The water needed for irrigation will depend on the amount of available water, precipitation, soil water supply and irrigation method. It is important to point out that the yield and quality of tobacco will be reduced both in arid and in conditions of excessive water, which will mostly depend on the stage of development. In the case of irrigated tobacco, the most commonly used methods are surface and sprinkler irrigation, where the quality of water for irrigation, i.e. the Clcontent, is of particular importance.
