Abstract
Cilj rada bio je utvrditi alelopatski potencijal lucerne (Medicago sativa L.) na klijavost sjemena i rast klijanaca rotkvice (Raphanus sativus L.). Vodeni ekstrakti pripremljeni su od suhe nadzemne mase lucerne u tri koncentracije (1 %, 2,5 % i 5 %) te testirani u laboratorijskim uvjetima. Rezultati su pokazali da vodeni ekstrakti imaju statistički značajan negativni utjecaj na sve mjerene parametre, izuzev suhe mase klijanaca. Klijavost sjemena rotkvice snižena je do 66,1 % u odnosu na kontrolu. Duljina korijena i izdanka klijanaca rotkvice značajno su snižene, posebice u tretmanima s višom koncentracijom vodenog ekstrakta. Slično, vodeni ekstrakti smanjili su svježu masu klijanaca rotkvice i do 54,7 %.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study was to determine the allelopathic potential of alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) on seed germination and seedling growth of radish (Raphanus sativus L.). Water extracts were prepared from dry alfalfa biomass in three concentrations (1%, 2.5% and 5%) and tested under laboratory conditions. The results showed that water extracts had a statistically significant negative effect on all measured parameters, except the dry weight of seedlings. Germination of radish seeds was reduced up to 66.1% compared to the control. The root and shoot length of radish seedlings were significantly reduced, especially in treatments with higher concentrations of water extract. Similarly, water extracts reduced the fresh weight of radish seedlings by up to 54.7%.
