Abstract
U Republici Hrvatskoj priznate su 4 autohtone ili izvorne pasmine peradi a to su: Kokoš hrvatica, Posavska kukmasta kokoš, Križevačka kukmica i Zagorski puran. U radu se opisuje značaj autohtonih pasmina peradi u Republici Hrvatskoj, s posebnim fokusom na njihove fenotipske i proizvodne karakteristike. Nadalje, u radu su opisani izazovi s kojima se suočavaju uzgajivači autohtonih pasmina, uključujući potrebe za očuvanjem i unapređenjem ovih uzgoja. Također je opisana uloga različitih programa potpore i subvencija u održavanju i unapređenju uzgoja autohtonih pasmina. Kroz razmatranje postojećih strategija i resursa, rad pruža preporuke za poboljšanje očuvanja i upravljanja ovim vrijednim genetskim resursima.
Abstract (english)
In the Republic of Croatia, 4 autochthonous or original poultry breeds are recognized: Croatian hen, Posavska kukmasta hen, Križevačka kukmica, and Zagorski puran. The paper describes the importance of autochthonous poultry breeds in the Republic of Croatia, focusing on their phenotypic and production characteristics. Furthermore, the paper describes the challenges breeders face in autochthonous breeds, including the need to preserve and improve these breeds. The role of various support and subsidy programs in maintaining and improving the breeding of autochthonous breeds is also described. Through consideration of existing strategies and resources, the paper provides recommendations for improving the conservation and management of these valuable genetic resources.
