Abstract
Šećerna repa je dvogodišnja kultura, u prvoj godini daje korijen i list, a u drugoj stablo, cvijet i plod. Korijen šećerne repe sadrži veliku količinu šećera. On se prerađuje, te se dobija šećer kojeg koristimo u ishrani. Repa ima određene zahtjeve prema toplini, oborinama, tlu i svjetlosti. Kao intenzivna kultura prije svega, šećerna repa zahtjeva izbor najpovoljnijeg predusjeva u plodoredu, duboku obradu tla, kvalitetnu predsjetvenu pripremu površinskog sloja tla, te intenzivnu gnojidbu kako organskim tako i mineralnim gnojivima. Treba ju zaštititi od raznih nametnika i korova. Vađenje šećerne repe određuju stručnjaci koji provjeravaju zrelost i sadržaj šečera. Strojevi koji vade repu trebaju biti pravilno podešeni da se korijen ne oštećuje i dolazi do neželjenih gubitaka.
Abstract (english)
Sugar beet is a biennail crops. In the first year gives a root and leaf, in the other tree, flower and fruit. Sugar beet root contains a large amount of sugar. It is processed and is obtained by using sugar in diet. Sugar beet has some need complete to heal, precipitation, soil and sun light. As intensive culture primariliy sugar beet requires defiming winning of crops in the rotation. Deep process of soil,quality sowing preparaion of topsoil, and intensive ferilization to organic and mineral fertilizer. It should be protected from various pests and weeds. Extraction of sugar beet is determined by experts that check for ripeness and sugar content. Machines that are ectracted sugar beet should be properly adjusted that does not damage the root and undesired losses.
