Abstract	Na području istarskog poluotoka najznačajnija autohtona pasmina koza je istarska koza koja se dobro prilagodila ekstenzivnim načinima uzgoja. Istarska koza je pasmina velikog okvira, otporna i prilagodljiva. Istraživanje je provedeno na tri obiteljska poljoprivredna gospodarstva u Istri na području Galižane, Nove Vasi i u mjestu Principi. Abstract (english)	In the area of Istrian peninsula the most important indigenous goat breed is the Istrian goat that is well adapted to extensive farming methods. Istrian goat is a breed of large frame, resilient and flexible. The study was conducted at three family farms in Istria in the area of Galižana, Nova Vas and Principi.
