Abstract
Cilj istraživanja bio je utvrditi alelopatski potencijal vodenog ekstrakta ljupčaca (Levisticum officinale Koch.) na kelj. U laboratorijskom pokusu u Petrijevim zdjelicama istražen je alelopatski utjecaj ekstrakta ljupčaca u koncentracijama od 2, 4, 6, 8, i 10% na klijavost sjemena i rast klijanaca kelja. Klijavost sjemena smanjena je od 31,9% pri najnižoj koncentraciji ekstrakta do 100% u tretmanu s dvije najviše koncentracije. Povećanjem koncentracije vodenog ekstrakta smanjivala se duljina korijena klijanaca i do 100%. Negativan utjecaj zabilježen je u svim tretmanima na duljinu izdanaka klijanaca te svježu masu klijanaca kelja. Najniža koncentracija ekstrakta nije značajno smanjila suhu masu klijanaca kelja.
Abstract (english)
The aim of the study was to investigate the allelopathic potential of water extract of lovage (Levisticum officinale Koch.) on kale. In the laboratory experiment with Petri dishes, the allelopathic effect of lovage extracts at concentrations of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10% on seed germination and seedlings growth of kale was investigated. Seed germination was decreased by 31.9% at the lowest extract concentration and up to 100% in treatment with the two highest extract concentrations. By increasing the concentration of the water extract, seedlings root length decreased up to 100%. Negative effect on kale seedlings shoot length and fresh weight was also observed in all treatments. The lowest concentration of extract had no significant effect on dry weight of kale seedlings.
