Abstract
Prema zoološkoj sistematici medonosna pčela pripada redu: opnokrilci (Hymenoptera) iz razreda člankonožaca: kukci (Insecta). Osjetila služe kako bi pčela prepoznala mehaničke, svjetlosne ili kemijske podražaje u svom okolišu i na njih prikladno odgovorila. Za primanje podražaja razvijeni su specijalizirani osjetni organi. Osjetilo vida smješteno je na glavi, a čine ga tri jednostavna oka i dva velika složena oka. Među pripadnicima pčelinje zajednice postoje razlike u veličini složenog oka te broju i veličini pojedinačnih okašaca. Trut ima veliko složeno oko s velikim brojem okašaca u usporedbi s radilicom i maticom. Vidni spektar pčele pomaknut je prema ultraljubičastim valnim duljinama. Osjetilu njuha pripadaju osjetilne stanice smještene na biču ticala. Pčele dobro razlikuju pojedine mirise. Receptori osjetila okusa nalaze se na ticalima i dijelovima usta. Pčela prepoznaje šećere koji su prirodno prisutni u nektaru i medljiki. Osjetila za dodir razmještena su po čitavom tijelu, posebno na ticalima, nogama, usnom ustroju i zatku. Osjetilo sluha smješteno je na drugom članku (pedicel) ticala i omogućuje reagiranje na vibracije i prizemni zvuk koji odašilje radilica.
Abstract (english)
According to zoological systematics, honeybee belong to order Hymenoptera from the arthropod class Insecta. By sensory receptors, honeybee can detect various mechanical, light and chemical stimuli in its environment and make an adequate respond to them. Specialised sensory receptors are developed for receipt of stimuli. The sense of sight is composed of three single eyes and two compound eyes, positioned on the head. Differences in size of the compound eye, and number and size of the individual ommatidia are present among the members of a community of honey bees. The drone has larger compound eye with high number of ommatidia in comparison to the worker bee and the queen bee. Honeybee can see into the ultraviolet range of the light spectrum. The sense of smell comprise the sensory cells located on the flagellum of the antennae. Honeybee have a good ability to detect specific smell. The sense of taste comprise the sensory cells located on the antennae and mouthparts. Honeybee can recognize sugars that are naturally present in nectar and honey dew. The sensory organs for touch are distributed along the whole body, especially on the antennae, legs, mouthpart and abdomen. The sense of hearing is located on the second joint (pedicel) of the antennae and enables respond to vibration and specific near-ground sound waves emitted by the worker bee.
