Abstract
Siva pčela (Apis mellifera carnica) hrvatska je autohtona podvrsta (pasmina) medonosne pčele. Na području Republike Hrvatske utvrđena su tri njezina ekotipa (gorski, panonski i mediteranski), koji su se ovisno o klimi, vegetaciji te drugim geografskim obilježjima prilagodili lokalnim staništima. Gorski je ekotip rasprostranjen na području Like i Gorskog kotara, panonski na području kontinentalne Hrvatske te mediteranski na priobalnom i otočnom području. Analize mitohondrijske DNK, utvrdile su evolucijsku pripadnost sive pčele C-liniji te dvije subpopulacije u Dalmaciji. Međutim, sustavne i detaljne analize genetske raznolikosti sive pčele koristeći genetske markere u Hrvatskoj do danas nisu provedene. Cilj je ovog rada, pregledom dosadašnjih istraživanja prikazati stanje genetske raznolikosti na populaciji sive pčele u Republici Hrvatskoj te ukazati na važnost njenog očuvanja.
Abstract (english)
Carniolan bee (Apis mellifera carnica) is a native subspecies of honey bee in Croatia. There are three different ecotypes of Carniolan bee in Croatia: Pannonian, Sub-alpine and Mediterranean. Sub-alpine ecotype is located in the area of Lika and Gorski Kotar, Pannonian ecotype in the continental area and Mediterranean ecotype on the coastal area and islands. Analyses based on mitochondrial DNA showed that Carniolan honey bee belongs to evolutionary C-lineage and that two separate subpopulations exists in Dalmatia. However, in Croatia, systematic and detailed analyses of genetic diversity of Carniolan honey bee using genetic markers have not been carried out. The aim of this review is to present the state of genetic diversity of the Carniolan bee population in Croatia and to point out the importance of its conservation.
