Abstract
Bezrožna goveda imaju sve veće značenje u govedarskoj proizvodnji. Iako su u prošlosti rogovi kod goveda imali višestruku funkciju i značenje danas je poželjnije ako nemaju rogove jer je veća prodajna cijena grla pri istoj proizvodnji u odnosu na rogato govedo, manje je ozljeda samih životinja (smanjen broj pobačaja, ozljeda kože i samog tijela), manje je opasnosti za ozljedu radnika u okruženju goveda, lakši je transport životinja, nema dodatnog utroška rada za održavanje, nema dodatnih novčanih troškova za taj posao, doprinosi dobrobiti, smanjuje bol i stres kod životinja. U Hrvatskoj se tek očekuje povećanje zainteresiranosti za bezrožna goveda.
Abstract (english)
Polled cattle are having greater significance in cattle production day by day. Although, in the past, horns had multiple functions and importance, today is preferred not to have horns on your cattle because the selling price of cattle is higher at the same production compared to the horned cattle, animals injure themselves quite less (reduced number of abortions, injuries of the skin and the body itself) less risk of injury for workers in the surrounding, easier transport of animals, there is no additional expenditure of labor for maintenance, no additional monetary costs for the job, contributes to well-being, reduces pain and stress for animals.It is expected, for Croatia, to increase interest in Polled cattle.
