Abstract
Unutrašnja građa tijela fazana skoro je jednaka kao i kod ostalih ptica. Mužjaci se od ženki razlikuju po boji perja, dužini repa, ostrugama, te veličini i težini. Mužjacima je perje više obojano te imaju atraktivniji izgled od ženki. Ženke su uglavnom jednobojne i manje od mužjaka. Fazan je dnevna životinja, hrani se ujutro i predvečer. Prema hrani koju konzumira fazana svrstavamo u svejede. Hrani se sjemenjem, travom, plodovima, kukcima i ličinkama. S obzirom da je njegova pradomovina azijska stepa u Europi se je prilagodio na novo stanište. Voli područja na kojima se isprepliću polja, livade, šikare i potoci. Voli topla područja te uglavnom ne prelazi preko 700m nadmorske visine. Fazan je kao svoje prenoćište pronašao grane drveća i grmlja zbog veće sigurnosti od predatora, a po danu je uglavnom na tlu.
Abstract (english)
The internal structure of the pheasant's body is almost the same os the other birds. Males differ from females by their feather color, tail length, spurs, size and weight. Males have more colored feathers and they have more attractive appearance than females. Females are mostl monochrome and smaller than males. Pheasant is a daily animal, feedin in the morning and evening. According to the food consumed by the pheasant we classify it as omnovore. It feeds with seeds, grass, fruits, insects and larvae. Since his ancestral homeland is the Asian steppe in Europe he has adapted to a new habitat. He likes the areas where fields, meadows, bushes and streams cross with each other. He likes warm areas and generally does not exceed 700m above sea level. Pheasant found branches of trees and shrubs as his lodginh for greater safety from predators, by the day he is mostly on the ground.
