Abstract
Virus mozaika duhana (tobacco mosaic virus- TMV) je RNA virus koji uzrokuje viroze na duhanu i drugim članovima porodice Solanaceae (rajčica, paprika). Na zaraženim listovima biljke domaćina izmjenjuju se svijetlije i tamnije zone koje sliče mozaiku, otuda je virus i dobio ime. Jačina simptoma ovisi o sorti biljke domaćina, soju virusa, fenofazi rasta i razvoja u kojoj se biljka nalazi u vrijeme infekcije i ekološkim uvjetima uzgoja. U suzbijanju viroza nema izravnih mjera zaštite već su moguće samo preventivne mjere zaštite.
Abstract (english)
Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) is an RNA virus that causes viruses in tobacco and other members of Solanaceae family (tomatoes, peppers). The virus is named after the lighter and darker zones found on the leaves of the host plant that resemble a mosaic. The severity of symptomes depends on the variety of the host plant, the strain of the virus, the phenophase of growth and reproduction of the plant at the time of infection and the ecological conditions of cultivation. There are not direct protection measures in the fight against viruses, only preventive protection measures are possible.
