Abstract
Spomenik prorode Biljska stepa dio je krajobraza rubnog područja općine Bilje i zaštićena je i unutar Nature 2000. Naglom urbanizacijom i izgradnjom stambenih naselja, intenzivnom poljoprivredom i uslijed klimatskih promjena prirodno stanište stepa je danas u Europi ugroženo i smanjuje se, stoga je potrebno organizirati poseban monitoring i mjere zaštite. Biljska stepa je danas i unatoč mjerama zaštite ugrožena, te je potrebno propisati konkretne mjere njege i održavanja.
Abstract (english)
The Natural Monument, Biljska Steppe, is a part of the border of the municipality of Bilje and is protected under ’Nature 2000’. Rapid urbanization; construction of residental settlements, intensive agriculture and climate change, has caused the natural habitat of the steppe in Europe today, to be endangered and in decline. Therefore it is necessary to organize special ways of monitoring and measures of protection. Today, despite the protection measures, the plant steppe is still endangered, so it is necessary to prescribe/create specific measures of care and maintenance.
