Abstract
Zamjena antibiotika, biološki djelotvornim tvarima u hranidbi domaćih životinja već je dugi niz godina vrlo aktualna tema. Sustavno uklanjanje antibiotika iz hranidbe, nakon što je njihova upotreba zabranjena u Europskoj uniji 2006. godine, povećao je pritisak na stočarstvo u pronalasku alternative koje bi zamijenile antibiotike. Zabranom istih, stočarska proizvodnja u većini zapadnoeuropskih zemalja danas podrazumijeva uporabu različitih prirodnih dodataka. U tom smislu, učestala je uporaba fitogenih aditiva kao što je pasja ruža (Rosa canina L.). Posebna se pažnja posvećuje ispitivanju djelotvornosti tvari dobivenih iz ljekovitih i aromatičnih biljaka koje se primjenjuju kao izlučine ili u cijelosti za stimulativne i preventivne svrhe. Istraživanja utjecaja fitogenih aditiva na performanse rasta i zdravlje različitih vrsta i kategorija domaćih životinja potvrdila su učinkovitost ovih spojeva kao promotora rasta koji ujedno bitno unapređuju zdravlje životinja. Stručnjaci smatraju kako će pozitivna iskustva proizvođača s ovim aditivima u budućnosti dovesti do njihove veće uporabe u suvremenoj stočarskoj proizvodnji.
Abstract (english)
The replacement of antibiotics with biologically active substances in domestic animals feeding has been a very actual topic for many years. The systematic removal of antibiotics from the animals’ nutrition, following their ban in the European Union in 2006, has increased pressure on nutritionists to find alternatives to antibiotics. By banning them, livestock production in most Western European countries today involves the use of various natural additives. In this regard, the use of phytogenic additives such as a dog-rose (Rosa canina L.) is quite frequent. Particular attention is paid to testing the effectiveness of substances derived from natural additives. Studies of the impact of phytogenic additives on growth performance and health of different species and categories of domestic animals have confirmed the effectiveness of these compounds as growth promoters that also significantly improve animal health. Experts believe that the positive experiences of producers with these additives in the future will lead to their greater use in modern livestock production.
