Abstract
U radu su opisane krupne vrste divljači koje obitavaju na Novome Zelandu te način i vrijeme kada su tamo naseljavani: divlja ovca (Ovis aries), divlja koza (Capra hircus), divokoza (Rupicapra rupicapra), himalajski tar (Hemitragus jemlahicus), jelen obični (Cervus elaphus), jelen lopatar (Dama dama), wapiti jelen (Cervus elaphus nelsoni), sambar (Cervus unicolor unicolor), grivasti ili rusa jelen (Rusa timorensis), sika jelen (Cervus nippon), bjelorepi jelen (Odocoileus virginianus), los (Alces alces) i divlja svinja (Sus scrofa). Pri tome su se neke iznimno dobro prilagodile, ali i svojom brojnošću počele ugrožavati staništa, tako da su provođene i redukcije brojnoga stanja. Prikazani su i podaci o jelenu običnom kao glavnoj vrsti divljači koja se uzgaja na farmama, kao i financijski pokazatelji prihoda od izvoza divljačine, nusproizvoda i rogovlja u bastu, što predstavlja značajan prihod njihovim vlasnicima, kao i gospodarstvu Novoga Zelanda.
Abstract (english)
The paper describes the large game species that live in New Zealand and the way and time when they were settled there: wild sheep (Ovis aries), wild goat (Capra hircus), chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra), Himalayan tar (Hemitragus jemlahicus), red deer (Cervus elaphus), fallow deer (Dama dama), wapiti deer (Cervus elaphus nelsoni), sambar (Cervus unicolor unicolor), maned or rusa deer (Rusa timorensis), sika deer (Cervus nippon), white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus), elk (Alces alces) and wild boar (Sus scrofa). At the same time, some adapted extremely well, but also began to threaten habitats with their numbers, so that they reductions in numerous conditions were also carried out. Data on red deer as the main species are also presented wild game grown on farms, as well as financial indicators of game export income, by-products and antlers in the garden, which represents a significant income for their owners, as well as economy of New Zealand.
