Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati antifungalno djelovanje šest različitih eteričnih ulja: anisa, klinčića, timijana, limuna, naranče i eukaliptusa na porast dvije vrste gljiva, Fusarium culmorum i Fusarium oxysporum, pri njihovom volatilnom djelovanju. Istraživanje je provedeno kako bi se utvrdilo koje ulje ima najjače inhibitorno djelovanje na rast micelija tih gljiva te kako količina primijenjenog ulja utječe na antifungalnu učinkovitost. Rezultati su pokazali da su ulja timijana i klinčića imala najjače antifungalno djelovanje. Oba ulja značajno su inhibirala rast micelija kod obje vrste gljiva pri svim ispitivanim količinama (10, 20, 50, 75 i 100 μL). Sljedeće po učinkovitosti bilo je eterično ulje anisa, koje je također pokazalo značajno antifungalno djelovanje. Uočeno je da se učinkovitost ovog ulja povećavala proporcionalno s povećanjem količine primjene, što sugerira da veće koncentracije ulja anisa mogu biti potrebne za postizanje optimalnog antifungalnog učinka. Suprotno tome, eterična ulja limuna, naranče i eukaliptusa nisu pokazala značajan inhibitorni učinak na rast gljiva F. culmorum i F. oxysporum. Bez obzira na primijenjenu količinu i vrijeme izlaganja, ova ulja nisu uspjela spriječiti rast micelija u usporedbi s kontrolnim uzorcima.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this research was to test the antifungal effect of six different essential oils: anise, clove, thyme, lemon, orange and eucalyptus on the growth of two types of fungi, Fusarium culmorum and Fusarium oxysporum, during their volatile action. The research was conducted to determine which oil has the strongest inhibitory effect on the growth of the mycelium of these fungi and how the amount of applied oil affects the antifungal effectiveness. The results showed that thyme and clove oils had the strongest antifungal activity. Both oils significantly inhibited mycelial growth in both types of mushrooms at all tested amounts (10, 20, 50, 75 and 100 μL). Next in effectiveness was anise essential oil, which also showed significant antifungal activity. It was observed that the effectiveness of this oil increased proportionally with the amount of application, suggesting that higher concentrations of anise oil may be required to achieve optimal antifungal effect. In contrast, essential oils of lemon, orange and eucalyptus did not show a significant inhibitory effect on the growth of F. culmorum and F. oxysporum. Regardless of the amount applied and exposure time, these oils failed to inhibit mycelial growth compared to control samples.
