Abstract
Rod Ambrosia pripada porodici Asteracae i porijeklom je iz Sjeverne Amerike. Mnoge vrste ovoga roda Ambrozija raste gotovo u cijelom svijetu zbog svoje prilagodljivosti na raznovrsne uvjete, dobre otpornosti i velike produkcije sjemena. Najznačanije vrste ambrozije u Europi su: višegodišnja ambrozija (Ambrosia psilostachya DC), pelinolisna ambrozija (Ambrosia artemisiifolia L.), uskolisna ambrozija (Ambrosia tenuifolia Sprengel), trorežnjevita ambrozija (Ambrosia trifida L.), primorska ambrozija (Ambrosia maritima L.). U Republici Hrvatskoj susrećemo za sada samo pelinolisnu ambroziju i primorsku ambroziju. Pelinolisna ambrozija je vrlo invazivna vrsta koja predstavlja značajan javnozdravstveni i agronomski problem. Pelud ove biljne vrste uzročnik je ljetnih alergija koje traju i do 8 tjedana, od sredine srpnja pa sve do kraja vegetacijske sezone. Pelinolisna ambrozija je rasprostranjena gotovo na cijelom državnom teritoriju. Susrećemo je ne samo na obradivim površinama (posebice u okopavinama i na strništima), već i ruderalnim staništima, pa čak i u urbanim sredinama (zapuštena dvorišta, i sl.). Međutim, pored negativnih obilježja, ova biljka posjeduje i mnogobrojna korisna, ljekovita svojstva.
Abstract (english)
The genus Ambrosia belongs to the Asteracae family and is native to North America. Many species of this genus Ambrosia grow almost all over the world due to their adaptability to various conditions, good resistance and high seed production. The most important types of ragweed in Europe are: perennial ragweed (Ambrosia psilostachya DC), ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia L.), narrow-leaved ragweed (Ambrosia tenuifolia Sprengel), three-lobed ragweed (Ambrosia trifida L.), coastal ragweed (Ambrosia maritima L.). In the Republic of Croatia, for now, we only encounter common ragweed and sea ragweed. Ragweed is a very invasive species that represents a significant public health and agronomic problem. The pollen of this plant species is the cause of summer allergies that last up to 8 weeks, from mid-July until the end of the growing season. Common ragweed is widespread almost throughout the state territory. We meet it not only on arable land (especially in fallow fields and stubble), but also in ruderal habitats and even in urban areas (neglected yards, etc.). However, in addition to negative features, this plant also has many useful, healing properties.
