Abstract
Cilj istraživanja bio je utvrditi acido-baznu ravnotežu u krvi krava holstein pasmine tijekom prijelaznog razdoblja. U svrhu toga prikupljeni su uzorci venske krvi 20 životinja sa farme mliječnih krava, koje se držane u istim uvjetima. Hranidba krava je također bila prilagođena prijelaznom razdoblju. Tijekom pokusnog razdoblja prikupljani su uzorci po četiri puta za svaku kravu, odnosno 10. dana prije teljenja, na dan teljenja, te 20. i 40. dana laktacije. U laboratoriju je pomoću acido-baznog analizatora određen pH pune krvi, a uz to su određeni i ostali pokazatelji acido-bazne ravnoteže, te kemijska analiza hrane. Dobiveni rezultati obrađeni su statistički, te prikazani kao srednje vrijednosti. Usporedbom srednjih vrijednosti acido-baznih pokazatelja uočene su najveće promjene na dan teljenja u odnosu na ostale dane. Određeni pokazatelji acido-bazne ravnoteže su u međusobnoj korelaciji, tako da su i promjene bile očekivane. U razdoblju nakon teljenja, krave se oporavljaju, te dolazi do regulacije promjena koje su nastale pri teljenju. U odnosu na vrijednosti utvrđene u istraživanjima drugih autora, utvrdili smo slične vrijednosti kod više pokazatelja. Razlog za mala odstupanja naših rezultata u odnosu na rezultate drugih autora za pojedine acido-bazne pokazatelje može biti različiti odnos kationa i aniona apsorbiranih iz hrane, koji imaju veliko djelovanje na sveukupno acido-bazno stanje organizma. Većina vrijednosti utvrđenih u našem istraživanju ostala je unutar referentnih granica, što upućuje da krave nisu podlegle nastanku ozbiljnijih metaboličkih poremećaja tijekom prijelaznog razdoblja. Hranidba ima veliki utjecaj na ukupnu acido-baznu ravnotežu u organizmu, stoga joj je važno posvetiti veliku pažnju kako bi se izbjegao rizik od pojave metaboličkih poremećaja, kao što su dislokacija siriša i mliječna groznica. Ograničavanje visoko energetskih obroka, te hranidba krmivima visoke kakvoće mogu poslužiti kao prevencija nastanka ovakvih poremećaja.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study was to determine the acid-base status in the blood of Holstein cows during the transition period. Venous blood samples were colected from 20 animals at dairy farm, where all test animals were equally managed. Cows nutrition was also adjusted to transition period. Blood samples were colected 4 time for each cow, during trial period, i.e. 10 days pre-calving, calving day, 20th and 40th day post-calving. Full blood pH and other acid-base parameters values were obtained in laboratory with acid-base analyser. Results were calculated statistically and shown as mean values. By comparing the mean values of acid-base parameters we noticed the biggest changes in calving day compared to other days. As some parameters are in correlation, some changes were expected. In post-calving period, cows recovered from calving, so results showed regulation of changes that have occured during calving. In relation to the values determined by other authors, we found similar values for several parameters. The reason for the small deviations in our results to the results of other authors for certain acid-base parameters could be due to different dietary cation-anion balance, which has a great effect on the overall body acid-base status. Most of the values determined in our study remained within refrenece intervals, suggesting that cows have not experienced occurance of severe metabolic disorders during transition. Feeding has a big effect on the overall acid-base status in the body, therefore it is very important to give it attention in order to avoid the risks of metabolic disorders, such are abomasal displacement and milk fever. Limitation of high energy ratios, same as feeding high quality fodder can be used as prevention of these disorders
