The world's rapidly growing population, excessive consumption and exploitation of natural resources create great pressure on the environment, seriously endangering human life and health. Increasing the population results in the necessity of intensifying agriculture in order to produce sufficient quantities of the necessary food. When planning the growth of agricultural production, it is necessary to develop new methods / practices that protect natural resources by abandoning practices that cause irreversible losses in terms of soil fertility as well as in disruption of its functions. The practice of sustainable agriculture should be based on measures and interventions that contribute to the protection of natural resources while creating high and stable yields. Any form of soil degradation leads to the deterioration of some or all of the soil properties, making the soil less suitable or completely unsuitable for food production. Measures implemented through sustainable soil management protect the soil by preventing further soil damage while preserving soil health and functions. Soil management in sustainable agricultural production includes the implementation of all interventions and measures aimed at preventing soil degradation as a basic substrate for crop production with a properly and well-defined relationship of fertilization, tillage, pesticides and crop rotation in sustainable systems with regard to their effect on height and yield stability.
