Abstract
Latinsko ime „Rosa“ izvedeno je od indogermanskog korijena riječi što znači „nježan“. Početkom 20. stoljeća dolazi do masovnije proizvodnje ruža, primjenjujući tehniku okuliranja plemki na divlju ružu proizvedenu iz sjemena. Ruže su se širile uglavnom iz 2 pravca. Prvi iz srednje Europe, a drugi iz centralne Azije. Ruže možemo podijeliti u 8 grupa: čajevke, floribunde, penjačice, pokrivačice tla, grmolike, mini, stablašice i patio ili patuljaste ruže. Proizvodnju ruža za vanjski uzgoj su prepoznali kao profitabilnu djelatnost u „Rasadniku Milić“ u Miholjačkom Poreču pokraj Donjeg Miholjca, te su 1981. godine započeli sa prvom proizvodnjom sadnica ruža. Danas na površini od 40 hektara, proizvodi se oko 80 sorti sadnica ruža, sadnica kontinentalnog voća, bobičastog voća (aronije i borovnice), te ukrasnog bilja. OPG Milić je primijenio teorijska znanja u području proizvodnje ruža, prilagodio ih svojim mogućnostima i modernizirao u smislu primjene novih tehnologija, mehanizacije, zaštitnih sredstava i tržišnih zahtjeva. Optimalizacijom procesa uspjeli su i uz malu tržišnu cijenu postići odgovarajući profit koji će omogućiti daljnji razvoj proizvodnje.
Abstract (english)
Latin name "Rosa" came from indo german word which means "gentle". In the beginning of 20th century massive production of roses began by applying methods of budding scions on wild roses grown from seeds. Roses have been spread from 2 main directions. First from central Europe and second from central Asia. Roses can be divided in 8 groups: tea rose, floribunda, climbing, soil cover, mini, stem and patio or dwarf roses. The production of rose for outdoor cultivation was recognized as a profitable activity in "Rasadnik Milić" in Miholjačko Poreč next to Donji Miholjac and in 1981 started with the first production of rose seedlings. Today, on the surface of 40 hectares, there are growing about 80 varieties of rose seedlings, continental fruit seedlings, berry fruit (aronia and blueberries) and ornamental plants. OPG Milić applied theoretical knowledge in the area of roses production, adapted them to their capabilities and modernized them in terms of applying new technologies, mechanization, plant protection and following market demands. By optimizing the process, they also succeeded at a low market price to achieve the appropriate profit that would enable further development of production.
