Abstract
Uzgoj pčela, u pravilu se povezuje sa selom odnosno seoskim vrtovima i prostranim imanjima. No uzgoj pčela postaje sve više popularan u gradovima i predgraĎima. Iako ih u gradove donose urbani pčelari, pčele se i same sve češće sele u gradsku sredinu. Jedan od razloga uzgoja pčela u gradu je taj što košnica nezauzima mnogo prostora. Pčele vrlo dobro uspjevaju u gradu, a razlog tome je što u gradovima postoji velika, a ponekad i veća bioraznolikost nego u nekim seoskim područjima. Pčela osim što je najefikasniji oprašivač, ona je i sakupljačica svih biljnih izlučevina bilo da ih biljka ispušta sama ili su to izlučevine raznih ušiju i drugih nametnika koji sišu biljkama sok.
Abstract (english)
Beekeeping in general is more often connected to the country side and vast estates. Beekeeping is becoming increasingly popular in the cities and suburban areas. Although the bees are being brought in to the cities by urban beekeepers the bees themselves are also increasingly moving to the cities. One of the reasons to keep bees is the fact that the beehives themselves do not take up much space. Bees are thriving in the cities, because of the cities vast biodiversity. Bees are not just the most effective pollinators, but they are the collectors of all plant secretions whether they are secreted from the plants themselves or by other pests thet such the plants juices.
