Abstract
Ječam ima veliku važnost u industriji piva i viskija jer se od njega dobiva kvalitetan slad kojim se postiže jačina i kakvoća proizvoda. Također ima veliku agrotehničku važnost jer se ranije sije i ranije dozrijeva. U ovom radu objašnjeno je kakve uvjete uzgoja ječam zahtjeva, te što je sve potrebno da bi taj ječam bio pivarski. Skromnih je zahtjeva prema vlazi i toplini u odnosu na pšenicu. . Na nedostatak vode najosjetljiviji je u vrijeme nalijevanja zrna. Mora se uzgajati na plodnijim tlima. Provođenjem svih agrotehničkih mjera može se očekivati prinos 5 i više t ha-1. Osim agrotehnike i uvjeta uzgoja u rad je uvršten rad naših selekcijskih kuća i njihove sorte. Dugotrajnim i napornim radom stvaraju se kvalitetne sorte koje zadovoljavaju sve parametre uzgoja.
Abstract (english)
Barley is a grain of great importance concerning the industries of beer and whiskeys since it produces a high-quality malt. Malt is the ingredient that guarantees the strength and quality of the products. Barley is also of a great agrotechnical significance because it is known as a grain which soars and matures earlier than most of other species. This paper explains the conditions in which the barley is grown and describes the requirements needed to make that barley a brewery ingredient. Barley doesn’t require as much heat and moisture in comparison to wheat. It is most sensitive to the lack of water at the time of grafting. It is necessary for barley to be planted and grown on more fertile soil. By performing all necessary agrotechnical measures, the income of 5 and more t ha-1 can be anticipated. In addition to the agrotechnology and the conditions of breeding, this work also describes the work of our selection houses and their grain sorts. Longlasting and hard work can produce the high-quality sorts which meet all the parameters of growth.
