Abstract
Cilj istraživanja je utvrditi učinkovitost entomopatogenih nematoda Steinernema feltiae ISO18 u suzbijanju ličinki i odraslih stadija Tribolium castaneum. Danas se u poljoprivredi sve više koriste biološki pripravci u zaštiti bilja protiv štetnih kukaca kao što su entomopatogene nematode. T. castaneum je značajan skladišni štetnik jer oštećuje poljoprivredne proizvode i smanjuje njihovu vrijednost. Pokus je proveden na dvije temperature (22 i 14 °C) u tretmanima s četiri različite koncentracije entomopatogenih nematoda hrvatski soj Steinernema feltiae ISO18 (0, 100, 300 i 700). Na temperaturi od 22 °C mortalitet ličinki iznosio je više od 80% dok je na temperaturi od 14 °C mortalitet bio veći od 70%. Najveći mortalitet kod odraslih kukaca iznosio je 13,33% u tretmanu s 300 nematoda po kukcu na temperaturi od 22 °C. Utvređena je statistički značajna razlika u mortalitetu između stadija kukca. Zadovoljavajuća insekticidina učinkovitost S. feltiae ISO18 je utvrđena kod ličinki pri temperaturi od 14 °C. Odrasli kukci su vrlo otporni na entomopatogene nematode S. feltiae ISO18.
Abstract (english)
The aim of the research is to evaluate the effectivness of entomopathogenic nematodes Steinernema feltiae ISO18 in control of Tribolium castaneum larvae and adults. Biological pest control measures, such as entomopathogenic nematodes are getting more attention and importance in plant protection programs due to the toxicological issues of chemical pesticides. T. castaneum is economically important pest of stored grain products. The experiment was conducted under laboratory conditions at two temperatures regimes (22 i 14 °C) and four different nematode concentrations of Croatian strain Steinernema feltiae ISO18 (0, 100, 300 i 700 nematodes per insect). Mortality of larvae at 22 °C was in average more than 80%, and more than 70% at temperature of 14 °C, respectively. The highest mortality of adults was 13,33%, and it was achieved in treatment with 300 nematodes per insect at 22 °C. Statistically significant differences are observed between the larval and adult stages. S. feltiae ISO18 proved satisfactory insecticidal properties against larval stage at 14 °C. Adult T. castaneum are very resistant to entomopathogenic nematodes S. feltiae ISO18.
