Abstract
Unatoč tome što je drevna praksa koja zadovoljava osnovne ljudske potrebe, upotreba samoniklih jestivih biljaka obično biva zaboravljena zajedno s pripadajućim znanjem, kako u gradskim tako i u ruralnim zajednicama. U okviru rada provedeno je kvantitativno empirijsko istraživanje metodom ankete na 156 ispitanika iz gradskih i ruralnih područja Osječko-baranjske županije. Anketni upitnik proveden je online tijekom listopada i studenog 2020. godine. Cilj je bio ispitati kako pojedinci percipiraju samoniklo bilje te kako demografske karakteristike (dob, spol, obrazovanje) ispitanika utječu na njihovu frekvenciju nabave, konzumiranja ili prikupljanja biljaka. Dobiveni rezultati pokazali su da ispitanici smatraju da nisu dovoljno informirani o samoniklom bilju što ukazuje nužnost edukacije. Velik broj ispitanika prikuplja samoniklo bilje u prirodi, no podjednak broj ih kupuje na tržnici. Najčešće korištene vrste koje ispitanici navode su metvica (Mentha x piperita L.), origano (Origanum vulgare L.), kamilica (Chamomilla recutita (L.) Rauschert) te šipak (Rosa canina L.), a ispitanici samoniklo bilje najviše koriste u ljekovite i prehrambene svrhe. Rezultati ankete također su obuhvatili i percepcije i stavove ispitnika vezano za edukaciju o samoniklom bilju, te primjeni samoniklog bilja kao funkcionalne hrane
Abstract (english)
Despite being an ancient practice that satisfies basic human needs, use of wild edible plants is usually forgotten along with its associated knowledge, both in urban and rural communities. Within this diploma thesis, a quantitative empirical research was conducted using a survey method on 156 respondents from urban and rural areas of Osijek-Baranja county. The survey questionnaire was conducted online during October and November 2020. The aim was to examine how individuals perceive wild plants and how the demographic characteristics (age, sex, education) of respondents affect their frequency of purchase, consumption or collection of plants. The obtained results showed that the respondents believe that they are not sufficiently informed about wild plants, which indicates the need for education. A large number of respondents stated that they collect wild plants in nature, but an equal number buy them at the market. The most commonly used species mentioned by the respondents are mint (Mentha x piperita L.), oregano (Origanum vulgare L.), chamomile (Chamomilla recutita (L.) Rauschert) and dog rose (Rosa canina L.), and the respondents mostly use wild plants for medicinal and nutritional purposes. The results of the survey also included the perceptions and attitudes of the respondents regarding education about wild plants, and the use of wild plants as functional food.
