Abstract
Cilj ovoga rada je navesti poželjne konformacijske osobitosti modernih dresurnih konja uz povezivanje istih s funkcionalnošću individualnog konja i potencijal za korištenje u sportu. Pažljiva selekcija i uzgoj doveli su do stvaranja visokokvalitetnih konja koji se ističu kvalitetnim kretnjama. Konformacija je predodređena mišićno-koštanim sustavom konja i predstavlja neizmjenjive proporcije tijela. Dresurno jahanje konjička je disciplina u kojoj do izražaja dolazi trening konja, a uspješnom dresurnom konju predstoje pravilne metode treniranja, osigurani kvalitetni uvjeti držanja, pravilna hranidba i adekvatna zdravstvena skrb. Iako su genetske korelacije između konformacije i performansa dokazano male, konformacija je ipak vrlo važna osobitost za svakog sportskog konja i pridaje joj se važnost unutar svih uzgojnih organizacija i programa. Poznat je visok heritabilitet za većinu konformacijskih osobitosti i koristi se u uzgoju i selekciji. Također, saznanja o cjelokupnom utjecaju konformacije služe za individualizaciju treninga konja. Trenutne spoznaje o nasljednosti konformacijskih osobina koriste se za uzgojno‐selekcijski rad i individualizaciju treninga sportskih konja. Znanstvenici su također usmjereni na razvijanje jedinstvene metode digitalne analize konformacije i teži se ka uvođenju iste u službene selekcijske programe.
Abstract (english)
The purpose of this paper was to specify desirable conformational traits of modern dressage horses combining them with function of an individual horse and its potential for sport. Mindful selection and breeding have led to creating superior horses featuring high quality gaits. These horses have specific conformational traits that allow them to compete in this Olympic sport. Conformation is determined by the muscoskeletal system of a horse and resembles its unchangable body proportions. Dressage is a discipline in which a long lasting training of the horse is being expressed and a successful dressage athlete is created with a proper training methods, an ensured quality housing conditions, a proper feeding management and an adequate health care. Despite the proven low genetic correlations between conformation and performance, conformation is a very important trait for every sporthorse and has significance in every breeding organisation and programme. A well known high heritability for most of the conformational traits is used in breeding and selection and additionaly information about the overall impact of the conformation is used for individualisation of horse training. Scientists are also oriented towards developing a unique digitalised method of conformation analysis and introducing it to official selection programmes.
