Abstract
U radu se govori o snijegu i njegovom utjecaju na poljoprivredne kulture. Snijeg je oborina koja nastaje prilikom niskih temperatura. Vodena para u oblacima smrzava se u sitne kristaliće leda koji se vežu u snježne pahuljice. Nepovoljne prilike nastaju zbog velike visine snijega, dugotrajnog padanja snijega te snijega velike težine, dok je snijeg u isto vrijeme pozitivna pojava kao toplinski izolator ozimih usjeva. Uslijed globalnog zatopljenja, na prostorima Republike Hrvatske snijeg se pojavljuje kasnije, kopni ranije, a izraženije su olujne epizode s vrlo nepovoljnim posljedicama kako za poljoprivredu, tako i za druge aktivnosti.
Abstract (english)
This paper discusses snow and its impact on agricultural crops. Snow is precipitation that occurs at low temperatures. Water vapor in the clouds freezes into tiny ice crystals that bind into snowflakes. Adverse conditions occur due to high snowfall, long-term snowfall and heavy snow, while snow is at the same time a positive phenomenon as a thermal insulator of winter crops. Due to global warming, in the territory of the Republic of Croatia snow appears later, melt earlier, and storm episodes are more pronounced with very unfavorable consequences for agriculture and other activities.
