Abstract
U Hrvatskoj se ovce uzgajaju stoljećima, a genetsko bogatstvo ovčarstva temelji se na velikom broju izvornih pasmina kao i populacija ovaca prilagođenih specifičnom podneblju te velikom broju uvezenih pasmina učinkovitijih u proizvodnji mlijeka ili mesa. Broj ovaca i njihov gospodarski značaj pod utjecajem je raznih čimbenika, koji su tijekom povijesti bili vrlo promjenjivi. Kupreška pramenka uzgaja se na području Kupresa. Vrlo je otporna, izdržljiva i prilagodljiva. Pripada skupini ovaca sa kombiniranim proizvodnim svojstvima (meso, mlijeko, vuna), Prosječna plodnost joj je 120%, a mliječnost od 34-130 kg. Ranijim istraživanjima utvrđena je ekonomska isplativost uzgoja kupreške pramenke. Na prvom mjestu je proizvodnja janjadi koja čini 59% prihoda. Ostali proizvodi čine 20% prihoda, dok je proizvodnja mlijeka na trećem mjestu sa 13% učešća i poticaji sa 8%.
Abstract (english)
In Croatia, the sheep are bred for centuries, and genetic wealth of sheep is based on a large number of native breeds and populations of sheep accustomed to specific climate and the large number of imported breeds that are more efficient in the production of milk or meat. The number of sheeps and their economic importance is influenced by various factors, which through history were highly volatile. The Kupres Pramenka sheep are grown in Kupres area. It is very resistant, durable and adoptable. It belongs to group of sheeps with combined production traits (meat, milk, wool). Average fertility is 120%, and milk yield 34- 130 kg. Earlier studies have established the economic profitability of Kupres sheep. On the first place is lamb production which makes 59% of revenue. Other products make 20% of revenue, while milk production is on third place with 13% of revenus and incentives with 8%.
