Abstract
Cilj ovog završnog rada je opisati povezanost između boje dlake i performansi u konja, proces melanogeneze u sisavaca i genetsku osnovu pigmentacije. Također, opisati gene odgovorne za melanogenezu koji nam daju bolji uvid u strukturu i funkciju pigmentnih stanica i razvoj pigmentacije. U radu je objašnjen i smještaj pigmenta melanina budući da je on odgovoran za boju dlake. Melanin se javlja u dva srodna oblika melanina, eumelanin i feomelanin, a za njihovu distribuciju i izmjenu odgovorni su geni smješteni na dva lokusa, Agouti i Extension gen. Međusobnim djelovanjem ta dva gena dolazi do stvaranja osnovnih boja dlaka u konja. Zbirka boja proširena je genima za razrjeđivanje boja kao što su krem, sivo-zlatna, srebrna sa pjegama i „šampanj“, a također i geni bijelog uzorka u bijelim, sivim, crvenkastosivim, tobiano, overo i leopardovim nijansama. Djelovanje gena modifikatora i gena s letalnim utjecajem također je pojašnjneno u ovome radu. Glavni cilj ovog rada je opisati genetsku zakonitost nasljeđivanja osnovnih boja i prikazati sveobuhvatnu sliku o nasljeđivanju boje dlake u konja.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this final paper is to describe the association between coat (hair) color and performance, mammalian melanogenesis, and the genetic basis of pigmentation. Also, to describe the genes responsible for melanogenesis that give us a better view of pigment cells and the development of pigmentation. The paper also explains the location of the melanin pigment since it is responsible for the color of the coat. Melanin occurs on two related melanins, eumelanin and pheomelanin, and the genes located at two loci, the Aguti and the Extension gene, are responsible for their distribution and alteration. The interaction of these two genes leads to the formation of basic horse coat colors, which is the way in which certain genes affect the individual hair color and the influence of genes that influence the tone of the basic colors. The effect of modifier genes and aviation-influenced genes is also explained in this paper. The main objective of this paper is the genetic legitimacy of inheritance of basic colors and to present a comprehensive picture of the inheritance of horses coat colors
