Abstract
Govedarstvo u Hrvatskoj poznato je stoljećima i ima vrlo značajnu ulogu u ukupnoj poljoprivrednoj poljoprivredi. Glavni cilj govedarstva je proizvodnja mesa i mlijeka te mliječnih prerađevina. U Hrvatskoj u razdoblju od 2009. godine do 2018. godine bilježi se značajan pad broja krava, kao i ukupan broj goveda. Cilj je ovoga rada bio definiranje karakteristika uzgoja mliječnih krava na primjeru obiteljskog gospodarstva. Za kvalitetan uzgoj životinja potrebna je adekvatna hranidba krava kao i teladi, te dovoljno opskrbljivanje hranjivim sastojcima voluminoznih krmiva, kao i koncentriranim krmivima. Potrebno je pratiti razvoj krava i junica kako bi se na vrijeme mogle pripustiti, nastaviti njihovu reprodukciju i održala mljekarska proizvodnja. Nadalje, vrlo je bitno i održavanje zdravlja životinje jer ono može dovesti do gubitka u proizvodnji, uginuća i financijskih troškova. Može se zaključiti da mliječno govedarstvo u Hrvatskoj, usprkos negativnim trendovima, ima perspektivu i sa aspekta obiteljskih gospodarstava u slučaju kada se svi ključni elementi na farmi optimalno usklade uz odgovarajući nivo primijenjenog znanja uzgajivača te uz značajan trud i brigu oko cjelokupnog gospodarstva te pojedinačnih životinja.
Abstract (english)
Cattle breeding in Croatia has been known for centuries and plays a very significant role in overall agricultural agriculture. The main goal of cattle breeding is the production of meat and milk and dairy products. In the period from 2009 to 2018, there was a significant decline in the number of cows in Croatia, as well as the total number of cattle. The aim of this paper was to define the characteristics of dairy cow breeding on the example of a family farm. Adequate feeding of cows and calves is necessary for quality animal breeding, as well as a sufficient supply of nutrients for voluminous feeds, as well as concentrated feeds. It is necessary to monitor the development of cows and heifers so that they can be mated in time, continue their reproduction and maintain dairy production. Furthermore, maintaining the health of the animal is very important as it can lead to production losses, deaths and financial costs. It could be concluded that dairy farming in Croatia, despite the negative trends, has a perspective from the aspect of family farms in the case when all key elements on the farm are optimally harmonized with the appropriate level of applied knowledge of breeders and with significant effort and care for the whole farm and individual animals.
