Abstract
Promjene koje tijekom dva minula desetljeća doživljava govedarska proizvodnja u Republici Hrvatskoj u značajnoj mjeri uvjetovane su prilagodbama novim odnosima gospodarskog okruženja. Liberalizacija tržišta, konkurentnost, potpore govedarskom sektoru, zemljišna politika, odnos cijena sirovina i proizvoda, dostupnost novih tehnologija i znanja, strukturne promjene ruralnih sredina samo su neki od bitnih čimbenika koji potiču promjene govedarske proizvodnje. Nakon stagnacije i blagog oporavka govedarske proizvodnje, gospodarska kriza proteklih godina ponovno je potakla negativan trend. Radi održavanja postojeće razine te poticanje rasta proizvodnje nužno je pružiti strukturnu potporu razvoju govedarske proizvodnji kao strateške grane poljoprivrede od svih posredno ili neposredno uključenih subjekata.
Abstract (english)
The changes that cattle production in the Republic of Croatia has been experiencing over the past two decades are largely conditioned by adjustments to the new relations of the economic environment. Market liberalization, competitiveness, support to the cattle sector, land policy, the ratio of raw materials and products, the availability of new technologies and knowledge, structural changes in rural areas are just some of the important factors that encourage changes in cattle production. After stagnation and a slight recovery in cattle production, the economic crisis in recent years has once again fueled a negative trend. In order to maintain the existing level and encourage the growth of production, it is necessary to provide structural support for the development of cattle production as a strategic branch of agriculture from all directly or indirectly involved entities.
