Abstract
Cilj ovog rada je prikazati mogućnost ekološkog uzgoja pira u Republici Hrvatskoj. Ukratko je predstavljen pir i njegovo porijeklo. Opisan je po svom kemijskom sastavu, morfološkim svojstvima i postupak od sjetve do žetve. Prikazan je uzgoj pira u svijetu, a nakon toga provedena je detaljnija analiza mogućnosti uzgoja pira u Republici Hrvatskoj, te su opisane i dvije domaće sorte. Također prikazana je i ekonomika uzgoja pira u Republici Hrvatskoj.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper is to present the possibility of organic cultivation of spelt in the Republic of Croatia. Spelt and its origins are briefly presented. It is described by its chemical composition, morphological properties and the process from sowing to harvest. The cultivation of spelt in the world is presented, followed by a more detailed analysis of the possibilities of spelt breeding in the Republic of Croatia, and two domestic varieties are described. The economics of spelt growing in the Republic of Croatia is also presented.
