Abstract
Zarazne bolesti reproduktivnog sustava svrstane su u dvije skupine, a to su bolesti koje se prenose spolnim putem i bolesti koje napadaju posebno spolni sustav. One uzrokuju različite poremećaje u funkciji spolnih organa, te mogu dovesti i do pobačaja i potpune neplodnosti. Neplodne su one junice koje zbog nasljednih ili patoloških promjena ne mogu koncipirati. Zarazne bolesti također uzrokuju velike ekonomske gubitke na farmama, te smanjuju proizvodni vijek životinje. Kako bi se suzbile, provode se preventivne mjere kao što su cijepljenje, dobri higijenski uvjeti na farmi, ispravna hranidba, kontrola junica i bikova, te kao najvažnija mjera preporuča se umjetno osjemenjivanje.
Abstract (english)
Infectious diseases of the reproductive system are classified into two groups: diseases transmitted by sexual intercourse and diseases attacking specifically reproductive system. They cause different disorders in the function of reproductive organs and can lead to abortion and complete infertility. Infertile heifers are those which, due to inherited or pathological changes, cannot be conceived. Infectious diseases also cause severe economic losses on farms and reduce the production life of animals. In order to avoid them, preventive measures are implemented such as vaccination, good hygienic conditions on the farm, proper nutrition, control of heifers and bulls, and artificial insemination is recommended as the most important measure.
