Abstract
Konoplja je biljka koja ima široku upotrebu, a njena proizvodnja traje već tisućama godina. U radu je opisano koliki je značaj imala konoplja za proizvodnju tkanine tijekom 20. stoljeća. Za to vrijeme konoplja se uzgajala na velikim površinama. Nekadašnja Jugoslavija bila je značajniji proizvođač konoplje u svijetu. Najviše zasijanih površina pod konopoljom bilo je 1955. godine, koje su iznosile 13 300 ha. Ljudi su se bavili proizvodnjom konoplje kako za kudjeljare tako i za vlastite potrebe. Od 1995. godine pa sve do unazad par godina je bila zaboravljena biljka. U današnje vrijeme, za vrijeme suvremene proizvodnje konoplja se može koristiti u razne svrhe, počevši od liječenja bolesti pa sve do ishrane stoke. Sve češće se koristi i u građevinarstvu, kako bi očuvali okoliš, jer ne zahtjeva pesticide i herbicide za rast i razvoj. Uz sve navedene karakteristike i značaj upotrebe industrijske konoplje još uvijek nije dostignut veliki broj proizvođača, ali je pozitivna strana što je sve veći interes za uzgojem konoplje iz godine u godinu.
Abstract (english)
Industrial hemp is a widely used plant, and its production has been going on for thousands of years. The study describes how important hemp was for fabric production during the 20th century. During that time, hemp was grown on large areas. The former Yugoslavia was a significant producer of hemp in the world. The largest area sown under hemp was in 1955, which amounted to 13,300 ha. People were engaged in the production of hemp both for the weavers and for their own needs. From 1995 until a few years ago, it was a forgotten plant. Nowadays, during modern production, hemp can be used for various purposes, starting from the treatment of diseases and all the way to feeding livestock. It is increasingly used in construction, in order to protect the environment, because they do not require pesticides and herbicides for growth and development. Despite all the above-mentioned characteristics and significance of the use of industrial hemp, a large number of producers have not yet been reached, but the positive side is that there is an increasing interest in growing hemp from year to year.
