Abstract
Diplomski rad Konkurentnost prehrambene industrije Republike Hrvatske analizira trenutnukonkurentnost prehrambene industrije Republike Hrvatske, s posebnim naglaskom na strukturu vlasništva,zaposlenost, prihode te vanjske i unutarnje faktore koji utječu na ovaj sektor. Također se istražuju potrošačkepreferencije pri kupnji domaćih i inozemnih prehrambenih proizvoda. Cilj rada je pružiti dublji uvid u ključnefaktore koji oblikuju prehrambenu industriju, uključujući izazove i prilike koje nudi suvremeno poslovnookruženje. Kroz provedenu SWOT analizu i kvantitativno istraživanje putem anketnih upitnika, rad prikazujepercepciju kvalitete, cijene i važnosti domaćih proizvoda u očima potrošača. Rezultati pokazuju kako su kvalitetai podrška lokalnoj ekonomiji ključni razlozi za kupnju hrvatskih proizvoda, iako cijena ostaje značajna prepreka.Zaključak rada naglašava važnost daljnjih ulaganja u inovacije i prilagodbu globalnim tržišnim trendovima kakobi se poboljšala konkurentnost industrije.
Abstract (english)
Master's Thesis The Competitiveness of the Food Industry of the Republic of Croatia analyzes thecurrent competitiveness of the food industry in the Republic of Croatia, with a special emphasis on ownershipstructure, employment, revenues, and external and internal factors affecting this sector. Consumer preferenceswhen purchasing domestic and foreign food products are also examined. The thesis aims to provide a deeperunderstanding of the key factors shaping the food industry, including the challenges and opportunities offered bythe modern business environment. Through a conducted SWOT analysis and quantitative research using surveyquestionnaires, the thesis presents the perception of quality, price, and the importance of domestic products in theeyes of consumers. The results show that quality and support for the local economy are key reasons for purchasingCroatian products, although price remains a significant obstacle. The conclusion emphasizes the importance offurther investments in innovation and adaptation to global market trends to improve the competitiveness of theindustry.
