Growing the competitiveness of economic entities in agriculture is one of the important strategic goals of the Republic of Croatia. In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to carry out activities to strengthen their business both internally and to improve the external conditions of the business environment. Implementations of innovative technologies, production and products are the basis for the development of agricultural competitiveness, which emphasizes the importance of innovative agribusiness. In order to apply it more successfully, analytical models are needed - Porter's model of competitiveness, concepts - TripleHeliks, and institutions based on them - CEKOM. Porter’s model for developing national comparative advantages is a useful analytical tool to more successfully apply agro-entrepreneurship. The determinants that determine the development of agriculture as a national economic activity are identified and recognized. Detailed analysis and research of the environment can identify opportunities and obstacles that the environment poses in agriculture. In this way, it is possible to plan the activities that need to be implemented and improve existing ones, in order to create conditions and encourage inventiveness of entrepreneurial behavior in agricultural production. The TripleHelix concept is based on the interdependence of the state, the economy and science, the academic community. Togetherness in activities implies that the actors of this concept, ie universities, the business sector and the state, act on the principles of open circulation of intentions and knowledge. With such synergistic activities, the conditions for the implementation of innovation, inventiveness and agribusiness are created., production and products based on which it is realistic to expect growth in agriculture in both domestic and foreign markets
