In the present work, a direct continuous dryers that uses natural gas as an energy source. The objectives of this study were: 1 determine the energy consumption of the dryer drying barley expressed in kJ / kg evaporated water, 2 measure the grain temperature at the entrance of the dryer, the drying and the exit of the dryer to determine grain damage internal stress; The research was carried out of the drier „LAW SBC 25 LE“ during the drying season 2019th year. To calculate the capacity of drying kilns and energy consumption measurements were carried out moisture and grain temperature at the entrance of the dryer, the moisture content and grain temperature at the exit of the dryer, the amount of air flow through the dryer in the unit of time for the upper part of the dryer, temperature and relative humidity of air before the burner at the entrance and exit of the upper zone drying. Based on the measured values during the day, using the Mollier's "h-x" diagrams, the drier, which uses natural gas as an energy source is determined by the energy consumption of 3510 kJ/kgevaporated water, which shows a good adjustment examined driers. Analyzing a sample dried corn not observed an increased fracture rate after drying it points to the good flow of grain through the same (no plugs retention) and air temperature convective-conductive drying methods. Use the dryer „LAW SBC 25 LE“ for large agricultural companies in which the ends and goods local family farms, is justified by the cost-effectiveness with regard to its efficiency and specific fuel consumption, easy installation and the possibility of utilization of natural gas as fuel in today's time in ecology more acceptable.
