The goal of this research paper was to determine yield (t ha-1 ), yield components (number of spikes per m2 , number of grains per spike and mass of 1000 grains) and some agronomic and morphological traits (plant height, panicle mass, spike mass, spike length and hectolitre mass) of five different varieties of wheat from Bc Institut seed house from Zagreb. Besides that, the goal was to show weather conditions during the 2020/21. vegetative season and show their possible influence on examined parameters. Research was conducted in three repetitions on Pavkić Marijo's family farm, located in Posavski Podgajci during the 2020/2021. season. Analyzed vegetation year was marked by less precipitation in comparison to the perennial average, while the average air temperature was a bit higher than the perennial average. However, weather conditions during the bigger part of the vegetative season were deployed very good, especially in the earliest stages of growth and development of wheat, while the lower temperatures that occured during March and April had positive effect on the most improtant phenological phases. Analysis of variance determined significance for all examined traits except for the yield components (number of spikes per m2 and number of grains per spike). Average yield of all varieties was 10,90 t ha-1 . The largest yield was achieved with Bc Opsesija (11,54 t ha-1 ) and Bc Lorena had the lowest yield (9,83 t ha-1 ). Bc Opsesija (variety with the largest yield) had the most spikes per m2 (876 per m2 ). Bc Anica had the most grains per spike (37,4), the longest stem (81,30 cm) and the longest spike length (9,39 cm). Bc Lorena had the biggest 1000 grains mass (46,1 g) and hectolitre mass also (83,77 kg/hl). The same variety also had the biggest average spike mass (65,76 g) and panicle mass (42,35 g).
