Wheat is one of the most commonly grown and the most consumed food cultures worldwide. The aim of the research was to examine the influence of biostimulators on yield, yield components, agronomic and morphological properties of wheat in field conditions compared to the usual method of production, i.e. usual mineral nutrition. Biostimulators are physiologically active substances that promote the growth, development and nutrition of plants and help reduce the effects of stress caused by abiotic and biotic factors. The field experiment was performed during 2021/2022 year at the Tenje experimental site of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences in Osijek in two treatments (control and biostimulator application) and three repetitions according to a completely random design. The analysis of variance did not show a statistically significant difference at the LSD0,05 level for any property except for the moisture content in the grain, although generally higher values were found in the treatments with the biostimulator. The average grain yield was 7,96 t/ha, grain moisture 11,5 %, hectoliter mass 81,2 kg/hl and mass of 1000 grains 36,3 g. Furthermore, the average number of ears per m2 was 760, the stem height of wheat was 58,9 cm, mass of wheat stem was 21,8 g, lenght of ears of wheat was 7,3 cm and number of grains per ear of wheat was 29,3. Despite the fact that in the performed research biostimulators are substances that promote the growth and development of the plant, the influence of biostimulators was not so pronounced, probably due to a relatively favorable year from the point of view of wheat cultivation. The assumption is that the effect of biostimulator would be more pronounced in conditions of more intense stress.
