Abstract
Žitarice su osnova prehrane ljudi i životinja. Tijekom uzgoja i skladištenja, osjetljive su na gljivična oboljenja. Gljive iz roda Fusarium napadaju biljke uzrokujući razne bolesti te luče mikotoksine koji uzrokuju mikotoksikoze. Aktinomicete roda Streptomyces imaju izraženi antifungalni učinak prema biljnim patogenima zbog čega je i ispitana djelotvornost ovoga roda u suzbijanju Fusarium graminearum i Fusarium verticilloides. Iz dobivenih rezultata nije uočena inhibicija rasta navedenih fitopatogenih gljiva s ispitanim izolatom roda Streptomyces. Poželjni su i daljnji napori u izolaciji novih vrsta i sojeva aktinomiceta koji će imati poželjno antifungalno djelovanje.
Abstract (english)
Cereals are the basis of human and animal nutrition. During cultivation and storage, they are sensitive to fungal diseases. Fungi of the genus Fusarium attack plants causing various diseases and secrete mycotoxins that cause mycotoxicosis. Actinomycetes of the genus Streptomyces have a conspicuous antifungal effect against plant pathogens, which is why we investigate the effectiveness of this genus in the control of Fusarium graminearum and Fusarium verticilloides. From the obtained results, no inhibition of growth of these phytopathogenic fungi was observed with the tested isolate of the genus Streptomyces. Further efforts to isolate new species and strains of actinomycetes that will have the desired antifungal activity are also desirable.
