Abstract
Porodica Solanaceae može se pohvaliti svojom raznolikošću, što u vrstama, ali i svrhama za koje se uzgaja. Vrste iz ove porodice koriste se u prehrani, farmaciji ili kao ukrasno bilje. Svakako treba naglasiti opasnost pojedinih vrsta čija svojstva mogu uzrokovati teže posljedice, pa čak i smrt zbog alkaloida koje biljke sadrže. Svaka se biljka može smatrati otrovnom ako njezine toksične tvari i u najmanjim količinama uzrokuju štetne zdravstvene promjene kod čovjeka ili životinja. Najopasnije vrste ove porodice koje susrećemo na području Republike Hrvatske su: Atropa belladona L., Datura stramonium L., Hyosciamus niger L., Nicotiana tabacum L., Physalis alkekengi L., Physalis peruviana L., Scopolia carniolica Jacq., Solanum dulcamaraL., Solanum nigrum L., Solanum tuberosumL. Cilj ovog rada je opisati morfologiju porodice Solanaceae, otrovna svojstva te probleme koje uzrokuju spomenute biljke.
Abstract (english)
The Solanaceae family takes pride in its diversity, both in the diversity of species and of the purposes for which it is grown. The species from this family are used as food, in pharmacy or a s ornamental plants. It is important to emphasize the danger of the certain species that can cause serious consequences, and even death due to the alkaloids contained in the plants. Any plant can be considered poisonous if its toxic substances, even in the smallest quantities, cause harmful health changes among humans or animals. The most dangerous species of this family that are to be found in the Republic of Croatia are: Atropa belladonaL., Datura stramoniumL., Hyosciamus niger L., Nicotiana tabacum L., Physalis alkekengi L., Physalis peruviana L., Scopolia carniolica Jacq., Solanum dulcamara L., Solanum nigrum L., and Solanum tuberosum L. The purpose of this paper is to describe the morphology of the Solanaceae family, its toxic properties and the problems caused by the above mentioned plants.
